The Nijmegen Four Days Marches (De Vierdaagse) is the world's largest multi-day walking event, held annually in and around the city of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Now in its 109th edition, participants walk 30, 40, or 50 km per day for four consecutive days through the Dutch countryside, villages, and city centre. Completing all four days earns the coveted royally approved Vierdaagse medal — one of the most recognised finisher awards in the world of endurance sport. With tens of thousands of participants from over 70 countries, the event combines athletic achievement with a vibrant, festive atmosphere that turns Nijmegen into a celebration for the entire week.
